What should we call this lead unit? This is the first time I have seen one with just the BN logo removed and nothing put inplact of it.

The Pioneer/Lone Star gravel pit. It is now going to be converted into a golf course, beach, and park.

Naked? At least that's how it looks in that scheme.

Interesting seeing all the concrete blocks placed. They must have troubles with local doofii getting vehicles on the tracks.

    Ken,
At Pioneer, its an old gravel pit and all road access is blocked off to the public. Actually where I was standing is a siding, used when the gravel pit was open. The siding is now buried by dirt, the majority of it anyway. Those blocks have been there for a long time, so I'm not really sure of there purpose. Maybe just some kind of fence barrier? There is one or two areas where vehicles could cross the tracks. They would use this to get to the docks. I have pictures of this maybe I can find them.

I found some of my old just BN train photos. So maybe I'll post those in the FF section.

That's an interesting paint job on the caboose. They are normally yellow on the ends.
