Hi, updated the webpage and wanted to see what people think. Train homepage
If that link doesn't work try this one: Homepage
I am most interested in hearing what you think of the story behind the railway, the names of the lines, that kind of stuff. I am not a big history buff so dates may not mesh, but it is all fiction anyway.
Thanks in advance for any constructive criticism...

    Justin,
The site is looking good. I like your use of b/w picturs which goes with the era you are modelling.

Keep up the good work, oh have you registered your site with a search engine?

I really like it Justin! Well done. My only input is to not diminish yourself or yor RRing in the text-you have nothing to apologize for there. I like the history, but am not sure exactly where your present layout fits into the time line? The snow gives things a nice wintery look. Keep at it-like what about passenger service with your new cars? Curt

    Justin,
Here's a tip which will help you with your Railroads history. Get over to Hobby Stop and get the book Utahs Ghost Rails by Dr. Steven Carr, this book is a gold mine of all the railroads large or small that have ever been in Utah. I can't recall if there are maps but those are not hard to find either. Also check out Slimjim's web page on Utah Rails, look at his link page for even more info. This isn't to say that you need to correct anything you already have done, but I think you'll find that doing the research can be almost as fun as the modeling!! :D And you may find more stuff you can incorporate into your model railroad!! ;) Like you need any more, right!

    Thanks guys,
Curt, I went back and ammended my history to express passenger service, though I don't know what to think of Union Pacific Overland on private trackage with nothing but Santa Fe on the other end, when they were really running their stuff on Utah Railways lines...I think, like I said I'm not too sure of this stuff.
I will definatly look into that book that was mentioned. It struck me when he wrote down the name of the Hobby Stop, that caught me buy surprise until I saw your location. Thanks for the insight guys.
And the timeline is anything between the early days of the line, and near the fall in the early 60's...it is quite a gap in time but not much changes in small towns in Utah, even in 60 years :D

Nice rendition of the history Justin! It is a realistic read, and interesting. I get a good "word picture" as the story goes along. Good job!

(One thing I noticed, in the third line under the two side by side photos...is a typo. "Condolas hauling oar from", you mean "ore" and down close to the bottom you have "teh" you meant "the".) My habit of proof reading my mistakes. You haven't got as maney as I have yet, but myne make peeple laugh! I'm anxoius to see some photos of the big mallets on the Unitah RR !! :D

You wouldn't believe how many times I had to read it just to cut it down to that many errors! ha ha. Don't hold your breath waiting for the Mallets, the only steam motive power I have is pictured (one consolidated, one switcher). I am looking to expand to several consolidateds for the Uintah RR, a Pacific for passenger on the Overland Pacific, A mallet and a 10-wheeler for the Utah RR, and I'm not sure what to run on the SF. Also I need a bunch of smaller 0-4-0's and 4-4-0's from the early days, but they are cheap...it is finding engines that small that will run worth a darn.
Anyone who has any ideas for a logo on the Myton & Uintah Mtn RR, or the Myton RR or Uintah RR please feel free to post. There was such a thing as the Uintah RR (narrow gauge?) but I haven't had time to look it up...
