The Bay Area Z Scale Module Cooperative shows at the new Great Train Expo in San Jose: This show has a new attraction, and these kids see it in action: Benjamin was running his Volcano for the crowds: And it was Blowing Smoke throughout the day:
Thanks to Brad and Benjamin's volcano, the BAZ area was crowded all day: With Matt left, Jeff rear, Jim front middle, Kim right, manning the BYOZ tables, we even did some clinics for show goers: Jim even brought his Dynamo Trains to setup, which grew to a big layout over the course of the day: Kim was busy running DCC and DC trains on the modules, and we had trains running every which way thanks to Jeff's Y autoreverser module:
We had Jeff's KBAZ radio tower with helo pad running on his end module: Benjamin left, Kim center, and Brad right, running trains on the modules: And of course the Drive-In Theater was running: The highlight of Saturday's showing was the Volcano, and tomorrow we throw Joe D'Amato in!
You guys are gross. Here is a mushed scottie dog that got whapped by a car trying to beat the train at the crossing. This is from an HO layout. ...don

While out in California in August, I had the pleasure of a personal tour of this layout (without volcano), for which many thanks. It is amazing what can be done in 1:220 these days.
We are happy you came to visit George! It is always nice to show an N Scaler the many virtures of Z Scale! Here are a few shots from Sunday: The Volcano cries for Joe! Throw him in! Amtrak and a UP ore train round Jeff's Mine: Jeff put on a weathering clinic: Jim was making his Dynamo Hum again Sunday:
A shot of Timesaver: Benjamin's (Ted's) SP GS3 over the trestle: Well that's about it, except a video of the volcano I took, that I need to get rotated 90 degrees first. -Robert
Nothing like running trains ALL DAY ! Great recovery from a near disaster of not being able to show at our own town show !!! After getting in at the last minute from a paperwork snafu, we started with only a 2' x 24' area. During the show set up, the adjacent N-track group did not need 4' so it was our gain, allowing us set up our full setup !!! The usual hiccups but in the end, we ran a lot of trains for a long time. Next up, Pleasanton (nearby) November 25-26 and then some shows in Southern California. Whoowa.
Oh my... that volcano is just TOO awesome!!!! I LOVE IT! Good job guys! Robert, that photo of the GS3 is incredible. I love the blurred drivers. So what do we get if we sacrafice Joe to the volcano? Rob
