This CN unit was part of a westbound Union Pacific autotrain tied down for the moment at Vegas, awaiting a crew change. the full train...taken from the other side of the tracks, looking north toward downtown Vegas
mike i love the pics, i will be back in vegas in november for the fire-rescue international show at the vegas convention center, i need to get out and do some railfanning out there i seems to me. will be a packed week between firehouse hopping and trains!!!!!!!! didn't realize there was this rails around vegas, guess next time i need to keep my eyes away from the strip for a little while.
More great shots Mike. Wouldn´t mind seeing more of the northern Borg units around Atlanta and less of the yellow borg.
Its a rent-a-wreck from GATX...an SD40-2, according to RRPictsarchives...its an ex MP 3167 built in 1975
Was in Vegas in Oct for convention, watched the tracks from my Circus Circus room. Lots of action when I had the time.
