The Capitol Connection Z Meet; July 5, 2006 Alexandria, Virginia/Washington, D.C. If you have an interest in Z scale, or model trains in general, this is THE event of the year, and it falls nicely on the calendar just before the OTHER model train event of the year, the NMRA National Train Show in Philadelphia, a tiny 2 1/2-3 hour drive north. :car: I can't say enough how much fun this is going to be. A very relaxed setting, surrounded by one of the most impressive model train layouts (if not THE MOST) ever created, interesting and informative speakers, and a GOODIE BOX! What more could you ask? Food, you say? We'll have that covered as well. And uncovered for your enjoyment. Oh, we ARE just outside of Washington D.C., with all those monument thingies and historical stuff. And have you been to Washington Union Station? A beautiful piece of architecture in itself. If you're even THINKING about coming by, stop thinking, and start registering. Space is VERY limited, and seats are moving fast, so join us, won't you? Send an e-mail to Rob Kluz at ztrack@aol.com to get a pre-reservation NOW! And for more information, follow this link: http://www.ztrack.com/asrtpgs/Ztrack_2006_Meet.html We look forward to Zeeing you! :w20z6q:
Sounds like real fun! I found myself in another backlog of projects, so I will probably just spend the week at home getting caught up. I hope you guys take lots of pictures to share with us!

Sure would like to, but the 4th is a bad day. Fireworks off our backyard are the largest private display in Ohio. Ask Loren, he was here last year. Can't drift away and leave the wife hamburg flipping and all of the other things, with 50 or 60 "visitors" [I don't know where some come from as there are a few I don't even know their names]. Will see you Saturday in Philadelphia. ...don

Wish I could make it... I wish I could make it-especially since I missed last year, but I have to work that day and am waiting on selling my apartment and buying a house so I need all the time off I can spare... Next year I'll do a close-up and photography seminar if I can make it...I'll bring all my Nikon gear from work (I work for Nikon-shhhhhhhh don't tell anyone!)
