Thanks for your kind comments. Checking out my ballasting today, I found that most of it survived the cementing without needing to be touched up. I did add some larger rock on the shoulders and around the culverts today. Speaking of disliking to install signals... I hadn't thought about that as a chore that I dislike because I have a friend that has been installing them for me. If I had to do that I wouldn't have signals. I'm posting a picture of the area ballasted...hopefully finished, and a couple of pictures from my layout (for the heck of it). Second is my kitbashed bridge with some of the Sunrise signals that you can't get anymore and the next is the LaGrande, Oregon, yard on the same layout. It looks like the bridge needs a "slow order" because of bad track and... is that an ice jam?? I thought the track work on the bridge and in the yard was better than it looks in these pictures; but, I don't usually see it from the engineer's perspective. The last picture is how the area looks today for comparison purposes.
