An SP&S chip car? That would be great! I recently spoke with a retired GN/BN man. He had vague memories that they were all repainted. But couldn't state it as absolute. Maybe Dan would know for certain? Boxcab E50
The SP&S ones are gone or repainted. Don't have a date in front of me for the last one repainted, but it has been a while. The last actual SP&S car of any type I saw was about 1987 in Pasco yard. Was a boxcar in the scrap track.
The last SP&S car I ever saw, was Fall of 1985. Actually, there were several. Why they were here, I don't know. All empties, in the siding at LaSalle, MT. Traffic was so heavy, that I was unable to get anywhere close for a photo. So had to move on. Boxcab E50
