The Pacific Slope, D&Rg #71 takes a few laps around the Lake Livingston Oval

    At 98 degrees, it was too hot to do anything else but run electric trains outside.

    Here is a video of old #71 taking a few easy laps around my Lake Livingston loop.

    Interesting to see this in daylight, then be able to envision it in the after dark video.

    Right! The night time video doesn't show much of the lakeshore features, like the far shore which is 7 miles away.

    Basically all the night time video shows is lights in the passenger cars.

    But the strobe effect when the passenger cars go through the bridge can't be duplicated in daylight.

    BTW- Is this the lake where there have been powerboat races?
