...and I always thought SP or leasing locos are looking bad... LOco custom built and wrecked for Alexis Bercq. Another extreme kitbash utilizing MTL's GP35: - chassis stretched - front shell: GP35, rear SD40-2 - only 2 fans at the back - dynamic break housing turned 180 degrees - airfilter box added - headlights moved into short hood - new louvers and fans - new railings and side sill - closed front and rear pilots, super detailed - bell and warning light added - modified SD40-2 tank - double exhaust - custom decals, paintjob and extreme weathering after prototype
And to think... I was only interested in seeing Gerd make sure he got that bell on the left side. :wink3: Yes, Rob... that's the one. Thankz for the proto-link.
That is one incredible custom job. Congrats...... "Nobody does it better Makes me feel sad for the rest Nobody does it half as good as you Baby you're the best" Words from the James Bond movie The Spy Who Loved Me........sung by Carly Simon. You're no baby Gerd, but the song says it all about your custom work. Money + Gerd = Whatever you want in custom work. So is this what you do in between TV commercials? )
What an awesome work! And so close from the prototype!!!! (CSX may be happy that it's jewel doesn't wear any graffiti moreover...) Dom
That's some really awesome weathering, it' the just about the most realistic I have seen in Z to date! Watch out Tom Mann, you've got real competition now!
