Its been snowing in Auburn at the 1000 foot level for about five hours now. Got several inches on the ground. Think they'll break out the rotaries over Donner???

Unfortunatly, It appears the foul weather was short lived. It was intense though. They got snow in San Francisco or so I heard.

I just got enough hail to make my porch look snowed in.

Well, its now been snowing over 6 hours straight here in Auburn. The news and the weather channel say its only been raining but the 5+ inches of snow on my car says otherwise.

Just caught an eastbound at Bowman. Doesnt look like the weather was affecting anything. He was hauling butt!! :D

Well after 9 hrs straight, the snow at the 1000' elevation has finally come to an end or at least a long break. Have heard trains all morning since I caught the one at Bowman.
Doubting we'll see anything other than flangers.

Would be fun if you could catch some action views of snow removal equipment.

Yeah, the snow only reached about 5 inches then started melting faster than it was sticking.
Unfortunately the snow fighting goes on at a much higher elevation than I'm at and my poor little Celica wouldn't make it there in the snow for pics until all roads are open. By then there is no more snowfightin on the hill. :(
