what is the thoughts of Trainboard members of a Kato produced Mi-Jack? I was at Trainfest today and saw their layout attached to one of the clubs layout with an intermodal yard made with the Unitram track pieces. I asked what the thought if any on a Mi-Jack being produced by Kato. I know Walthers and Show Case minatures produced this model, but productions are not as quick as we need. The rep from Kato stated that he did not think there would be enough orders for production. I tried to disagree and thought that it would be a decent seller in N and fit into their latest intermodel offerings. Ok say you peace. I could use 2 or 3 myself.

Their container lifts are still available after several years. These were produced only because they shared many parts with a TCM container loader and forklift models. Currently, Kato and Wheels of Time make container/trailer lifts while Walthers has the Mi-Jack overhead crane. Add to that list the easily obtainable Fujimoto, Maruka and Tomytec container lifts and you have market saturation. I would love to have a LeTourneau LeTroPorter, but it is just not going to happen.
