    MY QUEST HAS ENDED…

A while ago I was terrorizing the web in a quest for True-Line Trains to make the MPX locomotive. They were going to make it in HO scale. I had figured since they had done all that work to produce it in HO there would be less trouble to make it in N scale, because they had done those CAD drawings and research. I let my frenzy rest after getting some promising feedback from them. I figured that if nothing showed after a few months I'd start the push again. Well before I could Irritate True-LIne Trains, Kato blind-sides me in announcing "They will make the METRA MP36s and NS Bilevel Gallery Cars"

Well today in the mail came my Kato set. My only disappointment is the yellow LED headlight they used in the locomotive, They got it right for the cab car. It runs beautiful in both push and pull mode. The cars although feather-light roll like a dream.

Now one of the DCC companies needs to make a sound decoder that duplicates the lightshow that Metra locos have to stop the commuters from going splat. (it never works, one or two do it every year)

Here's a picture of the MP36s and her older sisters in their RTA/Metra paint schemes.

Sometime a push goes in a different direction than you expect, but you get what you want anyway.

Thanks to everyone who helped me get my new train.

Same here, I'm trying to get them to do their Ethanol Series in N. Maybe if more people sent them emails (easy enough).
