    Very interesting conversation..

I've got Rokuhan shorty F7. I powered the B unit so plenty of space to give A unit for a head light . This week my Shapeways order should arrive with California Zephyr cars for shorty chassis, so I should have fun little train.

Im waiting China for supercaps, but have rest of electronics to light cars. I can see pins in floor of unpowered shorty chassis, so I'm thinking just soldering small wires there for power ?

    Thanks,
I ordered some #28 wire. I'm seeing both trucks on shorty Unpowered chassis have pins, but for first ill just attack first truck. With cap don't need to make things harder for now. Not sure if wire will be flex enough, will try to see what Rokuhan did. Eye sight bad, only one powered unit so

Once power tapped, rectify, voltage limit, leds.

I'd like to move shells and chassis which means unplugging. Know many plugs, but what should I use ?

I know not first to do this, but promise photos , and help.

Can I move this thread ? Don't mean to hijack lighting thread ?

You can start your own build thread, and add to it over time as you make progress. I have a build thread that's on it's 5th year so far.
