This is an aerial photo of a track that loops all the way around a roundhouse, (like mine) making a full 180 degree return loop! Copy this photo then when some nitpicker says you can't do this, just show him the picture of Canadian National's Spadina Street roundhouse terminal taken from the CN Tower in Toronto in 1978.
Rick, you sure have sources... Now I'm just waiting for funds to start laying foam, and track. *can hardly wait*
Makes sense, especially if you HAVE to fit a baloon track in somewhere. I was planning to use somthing like that on the staging room for my "permanent" layout. Gives me somthing to put in all those big "Bubbles"!
Unfortunately that roundhouse is now history. The last time I was up in the CN tower, July 2000, this area is a parking lot with one or two buildings. Most of the track is gone now too with just a few leading to the throat of Toronto's Union Station. I will have to dig out my photos as mine were taken in the summer.
The plans for my new layout has the double track main line going around the turndable and roundhouse. I drew the plans before Thanksgiving.
