The current section of the layout I am working on is the repair yard in Tomah ,Wisconsin set in the 1950's. It will be only a portion of the yard since I only have a 2' by 7' area to put it in. The yard was located on both sides of Highway 12 but I will be doing the north side and possibly bringing a few of the south side structures over for operational purposes. The best way to show the track plan is to show you the track. This is HO scale. The building in the back corner is half of the Tomah Lumber Co.

I used a GSLASER grain elevator kit to build the Tomah Co-op Elevator. the small office in the front is scratchbuilt and added on. The Tomah lumber building is a Campells kit cut down to fit in the corner.

The station is from Depots by John. He had this one half built so I bought it and finished it. The backdrop flat is from DPM. It was a cafe kit that I turned into a flat.

I finished the curved triangle loading/unloading dock and set it in place. This is one of only four structures left standing in the yard today.

Bummer. Well, the model looks great! Does this platform see any use by the prototype today?

Little to no use at all Ken. they even removed the tracks on one side of it and the rest is in need of repair. I figure they will just bulldoze it over one day.
