John: Just curious here- Are there any remaining depots along the ex-Farmington branch? Have you spotted any during your travels? Photos? Boxcab E50
The Aztec depot is a house now and I am sort of afraid to photo someone's private residence. I believe the Farmington depot was moved and may also be a residence. I am going to travel to Cedar Hill and Bondad to see if there were any facilities there.
I doubt I'll ever get any closer to that living museum than I am now, so I really appreciate your posting these photos, they're very interesting. Thanks John. BTW, is that roundhouse the one that burned back in the early '90s? Has it been restored, or is it still a brick shell? I can't tell from your photo. Thx
Nice stuff, thanks for posting. I enjoyed my visit there last summer, probably took about 500 photos between the ride, the yard, and the museum. Hytec, yes it burned, but was rebuilt. They did a nice job, as it looks "normal". I believe some of the original walls still stand.
Which depot was it that was fixed up, and used to film a movie? Keep 'em coming! I'm really enjoying these photos. Boxcab E50
Not sure which depot that was...I know they have used the Chama line for a lot of films, and I have seen the Durango depot in at least one film.
