Well, we have reached Montrose. Not much left of the DRGW here, but some live action (posted in the U.P forum).
A boxcar and some stock cars have found a new life as storage sheds at an antique store:

I have always found the Montrose Depot odd in its Spanish architecture...unlike those seen between Durango and Silverton:

    See you in Dolores Next!

Have you ever toured the Montrose depot / museum? Every time I have tried it has been closed.

    John-

Do you have a full view of Montrose depot?

How many RGS depots still survive?

As to how many RGS stations there are...well I think there is one in Ridgeway still not too sure about elsewhere though

    Thanks for the Montrose photo!

I am hoping some of the communities preserved their RGS depot. Such as Placerville or Telluride...

Well...it has been a long time since I stopped at Placerville OR Telluride...sounds like I may need to take another trip :D

Ben, I have toured the museum...very little in the way of railroad stuff, mainly "donations" from folks in the community, like antique sofas etc., which is fine but I had hoped it would be focused on the railroad...

Thanks for the depot information. Maybe I'll just view it from the outside.

Yeah, sad but it is still worth the visit for historic information :D
