This past weekend I took a little photo journey from Aztec, New Mexico to Montrose, Colorado. I will be posting the narrow gauge stuff here and the non-narrow gauge stuff in other appropriate places. It turns out that my camera is really terrible, so please bear with these shots. I will start with the Farmington Branch of the DRGW and move north in subsequent posts: DRGW Caboose 0313 being held captive in Aztec, NM DRGW bridge over the Animas River near the State line And a fuzzy shot of the water tank near the same location as the bridge: Next post will be from Durango, Colorado
Well, you had a camera at hand. Much better than none at all, any day. That caboose looks in need of some TLC. And the water tank appears to be listing a bit... Boxcab E50
The watertank used to have a big FOR SALE sign on it. Most of the sign is still there but it is unreadable. I think the land owner wanted someone to buy it and move it. When I fist saw the sign my wife and I were heading to Durango. She saw it at the same time as I and without looking at me simply said "don't even think about it!"
