hello all fellow train chasers, this is my first post in here as i am new to this fourm. i am looking for a copy of a track chart for the section between mile posts 80 and milepost 85 (weldon nc) with a pirriod dating 1977-1982 before the 2 line main was removed. it is of the rocky mount division, northern subdivision i know there is a track chart for the rocky mount division for sale dated 1977 and i am interested in possably purchasing it. but i wanted to see how detailed the track charts are for that location before i commit to purchasing it. thanks for any help cnb
The only resource I am aware of, are those offered for sale by Dave Cramer. They are somewhat pricey. And quality can vary. Boxcab E50
Welcome to Trainboard, CNB! Some charts can be as detailed as http://users2.ev1.net/~swmeier/DRGW/TrackCharts/dendot1970/DenDot70MP25to30.htm or not as detailed like:http://www.trainboard.com/railimages/data/683/Belt_Creek_scan_crop.jpg
I don't have anything that detailed (from that time period) that would help you. I may have a copy of an old SCL timetable for that district, but they generally do not have anything detailed on the maps. What exactly are you trying to find out about the area? Harold
i have a employee time table for the scl i beleave its dated 1981 or 1985. looking for the track layout for the air operated switches where the double mainline trackage had the 2 center sidings in south weldon. thats where i was bought up and was thinking about modeling it in ho scale. there is a condensed 1977 scl track chart ( rockymount division and several other nc divisions as well) in the nc state univeristy special collections. thinking about making the trip up and getting a copy made. thanks for your help !!
