Everyone in the southern California region is invited to the San Bernardino County Museum's annual Train Days celebration January 15th and 16th, from 9am to 5pm each day. There will be numerous layouts, including several club layouts, in operation, as well as displays of railroad memorabilia. Kids are welcome, and there will be special activities (indoor and outdoor) for them. There will even be layouts for the kids (big and little!) to operate. The address is 2024 Orange Tree Lane, Redlands, CA 92374. Take the I-10 East to California Street exit and follow the signs to the museum (visible from the freeway). The Museum's website is: http://www.co.san-bernardino.ca.us/museum/ . This event always draws big crowds. Plan on arriving early for best parking. There are fast food places and several restaurants in the area, and there is a picnic area outside the museum. No food or drink in the museum.

(Full disclosure: one of my layouts will be on display and running trains both days. Pics can be seen at http://www.trainboard.com/railimages/showgallery.php/cat/2143 )
