I needs some help from the members of this forum. I recent acquired a K-Line train, but can not identify much about it. I have already contacted K-Line and they refered by to the Nestle company. The train is an almost mint Nestle Train Set, Item # K-1821. According to K-Line and Nestle, it was produced for Nestle and is not cataloged. It was produced in 1998. It contains an MP-15 Nestle White Crunch engine, a Baby Ruth Caboose and four freight cars. The track, billboards, transformer and other parts are intact. K-Line can not give me a value and Nestle has no product record of the trainset. Does anyone own one or know of one with their friends. I am looking to establish the value of the train and the history of why it was produced for Nestle. I have found a similar Hersey train produced by K-Line which goes for about $200.00. Any assitance in identifying this trainset would be appreciated.
You might try watching on eBay. There are almost always K-Line trains listed there. In fact, there is a brand new Nestle set on now: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3138675386&category=28139 Boxcab E50
