    Ladies and Gentleman,
The meet went well.... I got a surprise meet with TrainBoards own "Johnny Trains"!!!!! What a man.. Let me tewll you the nicest man I've meet from the internet yet... Will comment, John's a trip and a half!!!!! :D

As for the "surprise meet on Thursday evening, JT's, close friend Louie, and JT's cousin Pete had showed up at my house on mail street an had asked if I wanted to go railfanning with the 3 of them. I had presented JT with a reconditioned Rivarossi 0-4-0 Dockside custom painted an lettered and detailed by "Yellowstone Hobbies" as a gift from myself to him. Something I had planned to do the work to it being I have quite a few of and send him through the mail and I had waited and now I'm glad I did. I got to hand it to him in person...

After all the hello's and such we went off to the Meyersdale CSX maintenance station to do some rail fanning their, Got 3 freight trains an the local run through Amtrack... And then called it a night after the trains shots an alot of laughing... And then called it a night for the following day, Friday...

We were all to meet at the Meyersdale Historical Society station which was the Western Maryland Meyersdale station at one time. Which I was late we had a thunderstorm durring the night and the power had went out momentary and reset my alarm clock an I didn't get to the Historical Society till 9:30 Thanks to Mike Klink (6206_S1a) from a phone call, that I wish he would have made sooner then he did. I had gotten to the station and was asked to bring some of my trains to the station to set up and run for the visitors. And that consisted of: The train that got me where I am today... The work train that I have hand build from either scratch or completely junk... 2 of my EL-5, EL-6 (2-8-8-0) combos to pull the 24 car train. I had also brought my Western Maryland M-2 Challenger (4-6-6-4). And my famous EM-1 #7600....I had gotten everything up an running for the guys as we all talked an conversed with each other an had alot of talk on things I do and such... About 45 minutes later Brian, had came to get on our way railfanning... Jt, Louie, HermanzGerman, Mike, Pete, and myself were at the station wiating on Brian so we would not leave him their and all...

Anyway we all decided to go an find a spot to railfan after Brian had showed up. We went on to the Western Maryland "Salisbury Viaduct" And got 2 trains on video... After a long mainline wait for a hold up from a ballast train that we didn't see till later that evening... We stayed their for around 2 maybe 3 hours (correct me guys if I'm wrong) and went to get a bite to eat an then off to Sand Patch to do more railfanning... We had got 4 trains Friday, after taking a tour of the area and I had hiked the guys toi the actual Sand Patch tunnel portal to stand above the trains on the top and video the trains as they passed into the tunnel and came out of the tunnel.

I had got a few small tunnel portal rocks from the original Sand Patch tunnel that fell shut. And gave one to each of the guys. And Mike had got some old left over bricks from the old "SA" tower at Sand Patch that had been bulldozed a few months ago...

All in the while, we got a total of 4 frieghters and some helper work at Sand Patch. After the hike an the railfanning an the continous laughing amougst each other it turned out to be a great day with some of the Trainboard family members...

Saturday was the next meeting durring the Trainboard meet. We had cloosen to ride the WMSRR "Wester Maryland Sceneic Railroad" Brian had chassed us as we were on the train and we had a blast ridding behind "Moutain Thunder" a H-7b 2-8-0 EX Reading loco...We all got a taste of steam in the full fource and all the trimmings... Their are a bunch of pictures to be posted on the board here... We just have to get them to a computer of one of the members to post them. Stay tuned.....

As for anything I've missed guys.. PLEASE feel free to fill in the gaps....

Brian had chosen to go his own way...

Hey John! Thanks again for the hospitality. After I left the Hobby shop, I went to Horseshoe Curve for about an hour. Got to see an eastbound Amtrak that was mostly freight cars. Then drove to Gallitzen and caught another eastbound NS freight that actually stopped right before the tunnel and one of the crew ran and got a pizza. I guess putting a pizza on a train order loop would be messy (LOL). A westbound Amtrak came by about 10 minutes later. Also got to see some idiot loose control of his lawn tractor and go careening down the hill in the middle of the street. That alone was worth the drive to Gallitzen. The only guy stupider than him was me. I watched the whole thing with a live video camera in my hand and never thought to raise it to capture the moment! It would have been priceless. Just got home a little after midnight. I just showered the cinders out of every crevace on my body. I'm tired but still charged from the drive home. Tomorrow I will work on converting those pics to gifs and send them on to you. Had a great time! You live in a beautiful part of this country.

As to you Warren I bet that guy goin flyin down through town or whatever on a lawn tractor had to be funny!!! :D Ya shoulda got that in film!!!

Anyway, heres a picture of (from left to right) Mike Klink, Brain, Myself, and Johnny trains.... As Warren took this picture... We were looking at the Western Maryland scenic Railroad's own... "Mountain Thunder" 2-8-0 H-7b (ex Reading loco) in Western Maryland livery pulling I think it was 8 passenger cars... Air conditioned an all!!!! But us foamers stood between cars hanging out the side snaping pictures an videoing the action as we could without getting cinders in our eyes.... ENJOY EVERYONE!
