Here I was ready to complain about mistreatment of photographers and the current fascination with this sort of TV mini-series sort of terror plot that, somehow, involves lots of photography, never mind that actual terrorists wouldn't want to make themselves so visible before an attack. Instead, I got to see a mostly untouched SP in Bloody Nose scheme. Thanks! I always enjoy your railfan photos.
I see the 9500 quite a bit in Queensgate yard. I've been wanting to snap a picture of it for a while now. Great shot!
I got yer bloody nose RIGHT HERE!! Ignore the small "CEFX" lettering on the nose, and you have an untouched, relatively clean (pristine by SP standards) SP tunnel motor. And yes, the unit on the other end of this IORY GP40 is also ex-Espee, an SD45R! Shot in Denison, TX last year. Since this was taken, both ex-Espees have left the roster.
OK, just wondering- it looked an awful lot like this one: Last seen in action on the Royse City Rock-It trains (Stringtown-Royse City). Shot this while it was in Denison.
