Hi All, I recently bought the stainless steel letters F R I S C O from the interior of the Union Depot here in Tulsa. There were signs like this above the ticket windows for the Santa Fe, and MK&T as well. They are 7 3/4" tall by 4 3/4" wide. The last Frisco train left the Tulsa Depot in 1967. A Frisco official removed them at that time. The Depot was built in 1931. I am looking for a picture of the interior of this depot with the Frisco ticket window. Perhaps it was in a Frisco magazine from 1931. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Michael
Hi Michael, I was sitting back waiting for someone else to respond hopefully with some help for you. Unfortunately I've come up empty handed as well looking for images for you. Hope someone can find a pic for you - that would be a nice find to accompany your letters... Good luck! Regards, -Mike
Sounds like something that might have been pictured in an employee magazine. Have you checked for a historical society in the Tulsa area? Either city, or county. Sometimes they are a good resource. Or might be able to suggest potential leads. Boxcab E50
Welcome to Trainboard! For help, I could recommend a few Yahoo groups- one is RRTulsa, which covers the Tulsa scene, while another is the Frisco group. Also, I'd recommend checking out http://www.frisco.org and going to the message board. Hope this helps. And congrats on getting that sign!
