Great looking stuff guys. For those of you who follow a prototype, do you have tunnels even if the original road didn't? I model New England and except for on the B&M (Hoosac), I don't know of any other tunnels through mountains. Would love to hear if there are others. Any in NY other than in the city? I will incorporate tunnels regardless because they are a neat feature. Edit: Two tunnels in Vermont; Bellows Falls Tunnel and Burlington Tunnel and few in Connecticut; Taft, Terryville, Vernons
There's the ex-B&A (now NS) State Line tunnel east of Chatham, NY. Also the two tunnels on the ex-New York Central's Hudson Division (now Metro-North) near Cold Spring, NY. There's also the Little Hoosac Tunnel on the B&M just east of North Adams, MA, several miles west of the big Hoosac Tunnel.
Well - myself I actually ended up changing road-names for my primary - being in an early phase of construction made that easier. I found myself building a long River - eastern colors, and a mountain tunnel - green type mountain with gray rocks(eastern colors), as opposed to brown tannish mountains and brown tannish rocks (Midwestern colors) soooo i changed to Lehigh Valley and some Erie-Lackawanna. Of course it will see some foriegn traffic, as I kept my California Zephyr
