I know there is a round house in Asheville, N.C. but don't know how or if it is used... The only other stnading roundhouse for NS is in Spencer, at the former Spencer shops, which is now a stae museum. Harold
There is/was a operating turntable and roundhouse in Williamson, W.V., they use it for a car shop now. This may help even though its in W.V.. Dan

The North Carolina Transportation Museum, has some great Quiktime Video of the Roundhouse and turntable. Also they have some fun video of an Shay 1925.
They may have some update for the NC Transportation Museum site... they just had their annual Rail Days event last weekend! Harold
