Don't know how to link these to this post, but for those of you that are interested, I posted two 30 second videos on my Railimages album that I shot in 2003 while I was on a roadtrip with the BNSF. They're both passing other trains from the cab wiht both trains going 70mph on the Trans Con. My album is on page 20 of Railimages and they're on page 9 of my album. Here's the link to the album: http://www.railimages.com/gallery/Ron-Harris-album I think you have to have windows media payer to view them, but not sure. Hope that gets you there and you like them.
Wooooooooooooooooo ! Very nice , the track look a little bit more rough in the second clip ! I love it !
Took me a while to find them (I was sidetracked looking at all those pics along the way, esp. the Digno & FWWR shots), but I found 'em, and I was impressed! BTW, do you spend any time on Yahoo's Railspot group? They cover the railroading scene in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and New Mexico. I've shot quite a bit of the DGNO power up here in Sherman, and can tell you that the NECR GP38 (the 3859) is being repaired (new prime mover) and will be back in service soon.
Thanks for the update Friscobob. I'd wondered where the NECR loco had gotten off to. I really like that paintscheme. I'll check out the railspot group. Thanks for the comment Trainforfun. It was pretty cool being in the cab, but it was a long day (that's another story). When we passed another train at night and the engineers turned their lights off (I didn't know they were going to do it), it was definately "interesting". Glad you guys liked the clips.
