Any one care to try modeling this??

Not sure what it is, but I think I know what it was!
    GWR under cab window.
Central Kansas Railway just barely seen/readable, on long hood.
Saw this, and actually went home, got camera and returned just for this photo!!

Photo looks compressed. Full size photo is fine.
Not sure why. Could be tablet PC I'm using to post.
Have had a few unwanted photo problems when uploaded/posting photos.

Looks like an ex Santa Fe GP7. Santa Fe had a rebuilding program in the 1970's into the 1980's, hence the chop nose and angled Dash two cab. Some lasted into the BNSF era. Nice catch!

I kinda like it :D I think it's cool how both the Santa Fe and Central Kansas Railway lettering is visible. I also think the wierd face in the bottom right corner is really funny. haha!
    I'd model it in a heartbeat... if I had any chop-nosed GP7s... or a layout that uses GP7's ;)

Yup, that's an old GP7, by the louvers on the battery box under the cab. That old soldier has seen a lot of history. Interesting that everything below the side frames looks clean...

Well, they got their money's worth from that bucket of paint. Looks like there could be a few more years left of it fading.....

I would start by shooting it and decaling it for ATSF. Then I would apply the lettering for Central Kansas Railway. Apply a piece of trim film on the long hood to represent the blocked out red paint. Then I would disassemble the model again and mix up some crystal clear with some red paint in it and shoot the entire model.

You might not get it exact, but it would be close. Now the REAL question is, how much difference is there on the opposite side. I can almost gaurantee you they are not alike.

Unit, as seen from opposite side.
Not great, due to early morning lighting.
