This is located about 20-25 miles north of Las Vegas. I believe it was last used to water hogs on their way to Los Angeles (Farmer John) back in the nineties. Before that...steamers on the LA&SL?

Wow! The legs (supports) look flimsy compared to the larger wooden timbers of other water tanks. Of course this is steel.

Hmm. I'm curious as to why they'd still have it standing. Must use it for something, now and then? Otherwise, it would have been torn down long ago.

I am not sure either why it is still standing Boxcab. Someone use to live on the property adjacent to the tank up until a couple of years ago. Maybe not just a priority for the UP at the moment

Do the rust stains indicate that it still is filled with water, at least now and then?
