On Monday morning a meeting will be held at Bowden and at 0900 a bottle of champagne will be broken over the coupler of FEC 100 to initiate the launch. Mr. McPherson has most graciously extended an invitation to members of the FECRS to attend AND to come aboard the engines, take photographs and have their photos taken on and with the locomotives, two of which will depart for Hialeah on train 101 at noon Monday. Needless to say, NOTHING is more important than your respect for the people and property of the FEC coupled with your TOTAL and complete regard for SAFETY. As always, your decor, deportment and behavior will reflect on the entire railfan community and your total recognition of your and other's SAFETY is the prime and most important issue. Remember, all, you are the GUESTS of the FEC and the main and most important thought in everybody's mind must be, as it always is, SAFETY FIRST, LAST AND ALWAYS. Enjoy and have a great day and be certain to show your appreciation to our hosts by your graciousness, courtesy and recognition of your and everybody else's SAFETY. --- End forwarded message ---

Nice shot. Does FEC still run everything elephant style like they did when I lived there in the 80's?
For a second there I thought I wuz looking at Alaska RR diesels, that's how similar the paint scheme looks. Definitely the nicest- looking SD70Ms on the rails.......
Wow! Beautiful locos! And they're all nice and shiny, just the way they're supposed to be. I'm gonna have to get me a brace when somebody finally makes them in N!
