Hey Scott, Is the O'Dell lake shot with the SP E7's at the summit siding? I thought that was the only siding up there, but also thought it was a center-track siding, which would mean 3 tracks. Maybe that's from the olden days though. But then the picure is from 1949 — that's is the olden days!
You may have been thinking of Cresent Lake which was the division Point and crew change point for the Portland Division . hey had a yard there with three tracks plus a wye to turn equipment.
Speaking of Lake Odell, the Trains May 1996 issue has a great article called SP's Cascade Crossing...with maps and photo's. I'm a new convert to SP (Z of course) and plan on making several trips up there once the snow clears so I can model a few spots for our CZM Modules. The Yard in Oakridge is pretty interesting. Joe MTL
