Hi Folks I'm upgrading the old V60 step by step. If You want to follow this project: https://f.z-freunde-international.de/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=14886
Larry, This looks great! Unfortunately, the link does not work without registering for ZFI. I've tried registering with my US address and have never been able to register. Which section of the forum can I manually find this in? Also, will you be selling completed models? The wheels make such a difference! Cheers, Ajay
Hello Ajay The ZFI-forum is worth trying to register again. There are many english speaking members. Pleas join us. Its not only the wheels. We will print a new chassis of brass. Just the hood need a little modifikation.
Hi Larry, I did manage to register at ZFI and wow- I didn't realize so many topics were hidden to visitors! It is obvious that the chassis is new and looks so much better the Marklin one. I have one of your upgrade kits for the Marklin V36, but I haven't started on it yet... Cheers, Ajay
I have also registered just now as I am always fascinated by your work. Thank you for the entertainment! But why does it go to ZFI and not on your own website? I have a V60 from the Marklin 81972 40th Anniversary Set. It is a beautiful loco but not one of my best runners. Even with the 5 pole motor they used in that set. It likes to be run fast. So on mine the colors are almost exactly what you have done, and I'll never have wheels like that, but if the motor swap isn't too challenging maybe I could do something.
Today it is an additional effort for me to post in the forum and on my website. I used to post on my website first and then copy and paste the content into the forum. But today most forums no longer allow external photos. They only appear as a link. I often lack the time to update my website. @husafreak: This is the small 7mm Märklin motor from the V36. It already has a small homeopathic flywheel.
I did join the Z-Freunde International to see your work and I really enjoyed it. For anyone interested there are 22 pages so far on this little loco conversion. Lots of camaraderie. As always Larry, keep up the good work!
Hi folks Here You can see some progress. I tested the automatic translation of the subtitles. It goes so well. Some words are wrongly translated, but I think you get the idea.
I thought it was crazy seeing all the set up for each part, but then at the end you showed a large pile of wheels. Must be making a bunch of these. Nice work!
Captivating video. It's like being a "fly on the wall" in your workshop. You don't keep a flyswatter in there I hope! Thank you for documenting and sharing your great work.
Larry, Sehr gut mien herr! Danke. Your process is very well set up. It was meditative watching the parts be made. I wish I had your shop! I also enjoyed your music selection. Scott
