Greetings.. My layout is equipped with a Digitrax System. I have power district divided into 4 sections protected by a Digitrax PM-42. I am not happy w/ the PM-42 and have purchased a DCC specialties PSX-4 to replace it. I like the simplicity of the PSX-4 and have read all of the directions on adapting it to a Digitrax system. Quite frankly, I think Digitrax makes the PM42 more complicated than it needs to be with all of the soldering and gyrations of setting it up and the options involved. I just want simple in-line circuit breakers and the PSX system seems to be highly rated with the simplicity. My question is, has anyone been down this road utilizing a PSX breaker system with either a Digitrax or NCE system? Thanks.
I have used the PSX devices with Digitrax for years with no issues whatsoever. It is simple and quiet unlike the PM42
My DCC system is Digitrax and I currently have 6 PSX's on my layout plus 3 PSX-AR's. 2 more PSX's will be added as the layout is completed. I have been very happy with them and have not had any problems with any of them. The oldest units have been in service for almost 7 years.
Thanks for the replies. I am probably going remove my PM42 and put in the PSX4 over the Christmas break.
