I've opened up a PayPal account so I can give this option to members of Trainboard. But I'm confused on how to set it up when you place and add. Some mention was made about a link which caused me to fall off on the curve and bang my bald head, it smarted. :crying: So can you help me. Also do we have a "How To" on using TrainBoard Sales/Auction Forumswith examples and FAQ. See ya Ron
When you place an ad it will ask you if you want to accept PayPal payments. If so, all you do is enter your PayPal e-mail address. If someone buys your product, they can just click through to send you a payment. It's easy and there is not much that you have to do or learn. We could do a tutorial but it's pretty simple. You can click to place an ad, choose a category, etc., and see the page where you enter all of the information without actually doing it. Charlie
Thanks Charlie, I think I did it correct. Signed into my account on Paypal, copied the link in the IE8 addressbar, then posted it in the add. See ya Ron
Nope. Not right Ron. You entered a long URL (http://blah..blah...blah). You need to put the e-mail address you use to sign into PayPal in that box and that's it. Charlie
Also, in your signature, if you want a link to your TrainStore ads, this is it. You have a bad link in your signature. Charlie
Charlie, I use my regular e-mail address and a password to sign into PayPal. Do I then use my regualr e-mail address? Thanks Ron
Yes the regular email that is your user id on paypal. You do not need to include the password here, as you'll need to log into paypal later.
Yes, don't enter any passwords here. Just put the e-mail address in the box when you create the ad. That's how it knows who to make the payment to when someone buys something. Charlie
