Anybody have good suggestions for micro-sized vacuum cleaners to keep layouts clean of debris/ballast, etc? Special/preferred tips for reaching tunnels or into tight spaces?

Any horror stories of using vacuum cleaners on your layouts?

For the sarcastic folks ... I'm not talking about 1:220 sized vacuums; I want to know what type of mini vacs are used to keep your z scale empire tidy ...

I have not seen much discussion here about it and thought there might be some interesting advice ...

Wal-Mart has a sub-$20 vacuum (Bissel stick) that can be hand held or attached to a handle. I bought one and a set of small tools. The main issue is that the tools are all designed to fit a small round hole, and the vacuum has a rectangular hole. A little cardboard and duct tape solved that problem. It works well enough.

I've been looking for the same info. I had a computer vac, but it was worthless. I currently use my house vac, but am not too comfortable with that.

I use Ryobi cordless vacuum. It shares the same battery with my cordless drill. I use it to vacuum the lint, dirt, and electro static grass
