I rode #57 Christmas Eve and have seen this type of lashup a lot last year, the LRC is dead heading. This spring most of the dead heading seems to have moved to #69, both are slower Montreal / Toronto runs.
Thanks. I saw some running in Toronto in 1985, but did not get to ride them, as the "International" was operated by Amtrak
Train 51 2005/05/25 at Cobourg with only one sleeper on an all stainless steel consist. This train is usually stainless on the head end, and nightstar equipment on the rear with at least two or three sleepers. The nightstar equipment was pulled at the last minute.
Milne; That's really neat! Shot the counterpart #50 this week but no stainless. Using the Telus F40 quite often the with Ren cars. Cheers, Lenny
Hi Lenny, Love those stainless cars, especially the Park car. And if you look at the 2nd unit, it was the CBC one! Milne
Was the 1st unit an F40 as well? VIA has started using P42s on #57 at times , unusual to see the big GEs with stainless.

Via 60 2005/06/01 at Cobourg. An LRC coach in an all stainless consist. I'm seeing this more and more on #'s 60 and 57. Probably due to a shortage of first class stainless cars. Via picked up a lot of first class business recently when an air carrier went out of business.
