What did Virginia license plates look like in the 50s? I know that in 1953 they were blue but what I am after is what form of number / letter combination did they use. For example, in the 80s Minnesota used a format that was three letters a space and three numbers (RHK 123), then in the 90s it changed to three numbers space three letters (123 ESA). I want to add license plates to my cars and trucks and I don't know what to put on them. Also, was there a license plate in the front and back of the car or just on the back?
