    I haven't made a post in a while so I'm due.

I have a bunch of Walthers auto racks that I am having a hard time getting to operate well. I know part of the problem are the radius of my curves, in the process of solving that. But I have noticed the couplers also seem to be an issue.

I am currently using Kadee #58 couplers but the overall coupler mechanism seems to stick and doesn't operate smoothly. I have tried sanding both the mechanism and car body but that doesn't seem to help. Have also tried enlarging the coupler mechanism mounting hole and still no success.

    Anyone have a good solution?

    woo woo woo,
I am not real familiar with the Walthers autoracks, but if it has a flat cap that goes on the coupler pocket it hits the spring mech. of the coupler and it can't move. This may be your problem.
