I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the difference is between the new DCC compatible switches and the older ones. If someone has a picture of a new one that would be willing to post that would be great. I have two #8 and a #4 wye that I need to see if I can convert to DCC. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Dont have any pics, but I do know that the newer DCC friendly switches have the gaps and are already insulated. The insulated gaps are on each side of the frog. The older ones, do not have the gaps on either side of the frog. Also the newer ones have two small holes on the throw bar where as the old version has 1 hole in the middle of the throw bar.

The frogs are insulated, as mentioned above. Also, the points are the same polarity as the stock rails so that metal wheels won't cause a short.
