Please disreguard this request. I found out what I was doing wrong. :tb-embarrassed:

Boy oh Boy I hope I'm not wearing out the TB welcome mat with all these questions.

I want to delete or remove most of my Non-Train related blog entries. But when I clicked to edit the entry, then checked delete and the tried to delete it gave me the following message:

"Switchman, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
    1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
    2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation."

Were you able to delete a blog? I've never figured out how to do that.

I think they prevent deleting of posts now, a result of people deleting their posts, which was a result of the "all over the map" moderating that has historically taken place on this board. Not sure if it's still the norm, but previously instead of just locking a thread, the moderators would go in and edit posts. This created a lot of very disjointed thoughts and--from my perspective--I didn't like having all of the grammar errors and incongruous writing that resulted. So many (myself included) would simply delete the post instead of trying to fix what the mods did. Which made the entire thread screwy, so now they don't let you delete your own stuff.

You can still Edit/Delete blog entries but there are glitches in the software when you try to delete.

When you click on the "My Blog" open that show you several of your entries there are small boxes to the right. Click those you wanted removed...

Scroll down to the bottom and look for a link like "Moderation(#)" where the "#" is the number of boxes you checked.

You should get a menu to "Delete Blog Entry" and that should remove them without getting the error message...

    Doug,

Your objection to the way the forum is operated has been noted may times before. Thanks for your consistency. We know you don't like it here but you keep coming back.
