Good photos. Though interesting that they show how small the locomotive was at that time when compared to the Niagaras, Hudsons, and Pacifics of my youth a mere thirty-forty years later. Of course I also was smaller....
The text under the photo remained true for years after first published. The arrival of a train was a big deal in any city before TV and all the subsequent "social media" items took over.
