Sunday I took a drive into Waukegan with the idea of taking some railyard photos but there was a bit too much activity with some kind of festival going on at the waterfront, so I decided to drive over to the substation area and see what kind of views I could get. I decided to drive down the road all the way to the back of the station basically right on the water edge, and I discovered the back gate was open. There are no signs stating anything about trespassing, so I dove into the back parking lot. I jumped out of the car and took a few quick pic's and decided I shouldn't press my luck further, so I left.

Glad that you ventured onto the property to snag a shot @KWE . That's a nice looking generating station. One day, you'll look up and it'll be gone. That was once a large station, with an 800 MW generating capacity.
