Good day to all! I was wondering if any one would know what happend to the wisconsin central SDL 39s! I heard a rumor that they were being sold to the arkansas&Missouri rr and was told by he mechanical officer that they just bought a "New" alco! Any info! Thank You! R Watson!
I just came from the A&M web page and there is nothing on the SDL39's. I wonder if the new Alco is the C630M, #70, ex CP4500, that they are working on??
R Watson ... I don't have any answer to your question but I wanted to say welcome to TrainBoard We appreciate your membership and participation.
As of this time there have not been any sales of former WC SDL39's, all are still stored on the property. I would look for them to move on to a new life somewhere, but as of now no news to report. George Widener CN WC Division Engineer Unofficial WC North American Operations Homepage

One of my favorite references, Diesel Era magazine, has in their March/April 2002 issue a detailed article about the WC and their "final roster". According to the article, as of 10/9/01, WC # 582-590 were still on the roster at that time. Harold
Thanks, I appreciate the compliment! I just added my first WC photos recently... quite a coup for me! Welcome to TrainBoard! Harold [ 08 March 2002, 00:33: Message edited by: chessie ]
