Speaking of John Allen on another thread, John Widmar, when I see your buildings, I think I am looking at John Allen. The detail and the planning that go into it is just great!! That is a great roundhouse. As I remember, the roof will be open? I put some details into buildings where I couldn't see my work after the roof was on. So, I quit detailing the interiors.
Flash, John Allen is my inspiration and to even be considered to be close to what he did is about the greatest compliment you could give me. Thank You. The back wall has a section that comes out so you can get the shots that look like you are standing in the roundhouse. The lower (front) part of the roof is attached for structural strength but the back part will be removable. I am also planning to have the office detach from the main building so you can see inside of it and two of the walls for the toilet can be removed to see inside .
Another outstanding weekend of photos! I only have one photo this weekend - some coal action heading past Dennis Junction into a tunnel:

Thanks, Paul & Tom. Paul, The Ashley Drew & Northern was a 41 mile short line in southeastern Arkansas. It interchanged on both the north and south ends with the Missouri Pacific. The AD&N also interchanged with the Rock Island and the Arkansas & Louisiana Missouri. When I was little and we lived in Fountain Hill by my great grandmother, the AD&N ran right by my house. The AD&N existed from 1912 to 1996, when it was merged into the Arkansas Louisiana & Mississippi, which was formerly the Arkansas & Louisiana Missouri. One more shot - a day late. I try to stay with eastern roads, mostly N&W, but I always had a soft spot for Santa Fe:
The topic is still open so fire away. Thanks everyone for sharing your photos this weekend. Some great stuff from everyone.
Sorry, late this time. Busy weekend with house stuff. Really great pictures everyone, good things to look at and say WOW! So, here's my contribution. Nothing new except some ATSF hoppers, just a few train pictures. Passing on the grade. Trio of GP-30's ready for the next run. You can see a bit of the new hopper cars. The cows are at home near the rails. That's it for me tonight. I'll be on time next week.
Tuesday pm in Australia. I am just getting to look at the photos. Really nice ones, again. This is my favorite thread every week; I always seem to get some more ideas here. I really enjoy seeing the work being done by others and in every scale. Thanks for posting; encourage your friends to post next week. At least send them the thread url so they can watch, too.
