I'm getting there with my N scale engine facility. ZOOM for full size It's a huge incentive to put decoders in the LL mallets, and all the other steam. So far, I've put decoders in these: 2 - Bachmann 2-8-0 3 - MP 4-6-2 2 - Bachmann 4-8-2 That's the diesel facility in the background and the always toasty Alco Turbo Works behind that. The turntable is nearly functional: the power pickup scheme seems to work. I'm just missing a few small bolts to mount the bridge. I glued it last time--bad mistake.

Hi folks, One of my 347 projects is to delve into my pile of wooden car kits. While many folks don't care for these nowadays, one of these is worth more to me than a stack of RTR stuff (although I have nothing against RTR). This is a Ye Olde Huff-n-Puff Boom Car: The homemade turntable is making slow, but steady progress. I've been in denial of spiking the pit rail: Have a great week!
Ft. Worth and Denver Waycar #92. They were made from old boxcars and came in a variety of outside bracing. The CB&Q also added a braced roofwalk. The bracing I used is ACC coated thread. just finished this caboose yesterday.
Great shots everybody! Tompm great weathering like always. My contribution is some high speed class 1 mountain railroading. Dan
Steve, NSL Jr Here it is in it's resting place ... --- fits just perfectly... will be turned on its side and covered and put against the wall (wont chance it out in the garage... elements might get to it)
Tunnel Motors Anyone! Had to post these to offset that UP Yellow! Just kidding! I've got plenty of that yellow stuff.
Scott S.: I like the white Roman lettering. It updates it some. Did you strip the other lettering first?
Really nice pictures everyone. Since I could not sleep last night I decided to finish the second SD35 so now the two I have can be put into helper service in the Cajon area. Always nice to see SP colors. First a little test run... Had some fun running a few passenger trains as well at 1:00AM The railroad did shut down at 1:45AM. I need a nap today. HO scale Texaco station at the San Antonio Model Railroad Association layout. Not sure who made it. Many of these structures have not yet been placed on the layout.
Scott have you or anyone else had a problem with the Intm Tunnels being over oiled?Have just bought a few & all of them nearly dripping in oil.......have had to strip & clean them all.
There is some awesome work on these here pages. When I grow up, I want to be just like you guys.LOL Here are some pics of the work I have done in the past week cauase of the rain we had here in TX. Even though I plan on tearing the layout down shortly, I wanted to some thing, as in to practice for the new layout. For those in Tx or coming to Tx during the weekend of the 17th-18th of september, I will have the layout ready for some what of a open house, BS session. Any and all are in invited. Adios Wyatt ..................... why I am getting the dreaded Red X???
Here, Wyatt, I'll help. There are instructions on how to get the proper "name" for the image at the front of Railimages. It doesn't seem to work on a Mac, which I'm using. Basically, if you just copy the address at the top of the Railimages page, you don't get a complete address. You have to change "/gallery/" to "/albums/" and also add a ".jpg" before the [/IMG] tag. I guess there's a way to do this automatically on a PC--it's somewhere on the instructions page.
Here is a shot from messing around with my photo diarama indoors. Still having trouble getting the colors right but getting better. I still like outdoors best for lights.
