I have been working on a 28 year old NTRAK module that I brought out of moth balls. To bring it up to current standards it has new 12 gauge wiring and power pole connectors. I also replaced the old beat up track and installed new 'screw in' 1 1/4" dowel legs. The leg system makes set up and leveling a snap. Still need to add more trees and other detail. Old photo from years ago. The new legs and wiring.
Good morning from sunny and warm Northeast Ohio! Here are a couple of cars I completed this week. First up another Athearn 55 Ton Hopper car kit painted with Scalecoat II Black paint and lettered with Champ Decals, with added Pikestuff Panel sides to replicate the Wabash cars of the 40's and 50's until leasing to the N&W. The panel sides allowed more coal in the car without substantially changing the size of the car. Some day I will have a nice size train of Wabash Hoppers. Next a Front Range 40' boxcar kit, with a plug door and A-Line sill steps, painted with Scalecoat II Armour Yellow, Reefer Yellow, Boxcar Red and Silver paints then lettered with decals fropm Black Swamp Shops, now handled by Bill Mosteller. The ACY acquired 5 of the DTI's XLI 40' boxcars and joined the pool to service the Campbell's Soup plant in Napoleon, OH. The cars were repainted by the DTI shops in Jackson, OH. That ACY car will soon be joining the fleet of DT&I 40' XLI boxcars servicing the Campell's Soup plant, in a train hauled by a couple of Athearn GP40-2's. Thanks for looking! Rick Jesionowski
An N Scale GM&O M-T boxcar I painted many years ago. The car number is correct, with a choice of 184 reflecting the month and year I moved to GM&O-served Montgomery, AL.
We don't allow no cars in this neighborhood And the Po Po ( that's police ) is everywhere Sheriff & Police! I absolutely love the WS lighting system, from street lights, to traffic lights, to LED lights. Especially for a 2'x4' layout. Need more light's... and trucks Actually have more brand new RPS trucks still in their packages. And more WS street lights on the other 2'x4' base, I need to steal some of them. Almost every night I just turn on the lights on the layout as kind of a night light, and love it. It's really cool!

Great photos everyone again, this weekend. First we have a gift via trade with the Port of Catoosa (POC) RR from Dale Baker, now I gotta get a car headed his way soon. Unfortunately the USPS was not kind to this shipment, or he didn't pack for it being kicked like a football from Tulsa to Grand Junction. It landed with the stirrup steps and ladders mangled on the B end. While a bummer, its all good as I had all the stuff need to repair the car, in the parts bin, so no problems at all. Really glad to have a car from the POC on my outfit. A couple pics of the car after repairs had been made, I also added the "HOME SHOP FOR REPAIR DO NOT LOAD" sticker to the side. It will haul sand around here for a long time I hope. Really enjoy Dale's weathering on this car. Below is a pic of a prototype hopper here in Grand Junction 20 years ago at least. This car was part of a cut off of the Moab UT, Potash branch that was in Potash or Salt service, both of which is where hopper cars go to die in their final years of service. First the prototype. I built the IM model from a kit, then weathered, patched and made decals to try and match the prototype, again at least 20 years ago. Thanks for stopping by.
