    Hi Folks,

Most of my 'modelling' over the last month has been of the lumberjacking variety otherwise known as building benchwork... plus slapping together a few kits in between:

Pretty good lumberjacking. Masonite backboard, track plan done, baseboard down. What's next? Looks like a good source of WNFF pictures for a while!! [IMG]

I have resumed building scenery and have put down my first foamboards.
Astutely, I performed a search here and the other place to find out which adhesive to use for the foamboard and found that "Liquid Nails for Projects and Foamboard" was recommended. Pretty sharp for the LLL, looking for an answer before plowing ahead. I went to a hardware chain, located the product and saw that it was for use in a caulking gun. I also purchased the gun. I eagerly went home, inserted the tube (after cutting the tip off as per instructions) and then proceeded to squeeze the trigger. Nothing came out of the tip. I squeezed more and more and more. Nothing came out of the tip. I noticed, however, that a lot of it leaked on the floor from the back part of the tube. I requested the presence of my wife in the basement. She descended and in a somewhat pitying voice told me that I had to PUNCTURE THE CARTRIDGE FROM THE NOZZLE END BEFORE SQUEEZING ON THE TRIGGER.

Several new lessons learned by the proud owner and operator of the Lessons Learned Line-
    a. Seek information before attempting a task.
    b. If it does not seem to be working, do not continue doing it the wrong way.
    c. Seek counsel of one's wife or companion.
    d. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS ON CAULKING TUBE BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO OPERATE GUN.
    e. It washes off the floor with warm, wet paper toweling.

In my own defense, I am a product of an urban environment for 52 years. I purchased a home in the suburbs a little over 5 years ago and never had to use a caulking gun before.

Great photos everyone. I've finished off a few N scale 53' Hyundai exterior post containers. They were kitbashed from Walthers 48' containers.

And finally a shot of them all together in the yard.

Great shots guys. the work is just amazing and , " I wanna grow to be like ya'll ".LOL

Mark, you could have scrpaed up the caulk from the floor and then applied it to the foam, I speak from expierence here. I do know how to use a caulking gun, but the tube was old and the head end of the product was a little stiff, so the easiest way out was the rear of tube. To say the least, I went to home cheapo and told them, they gave me my money back and I had a better day.LOL

This hobbyis a learning expeirence for all of us, even the old wiley vets. Adios Wyatt
