Thanks, yeah, that is one of my photo backdrops that I use on my photo diorama. I took the photo about a year and a half ago while driving from Dallas to Houston on I-45. I just saw a neat horizon with a few clouds and pulled off on the feeder road to shoot a few images. Then I printed it off and mounted it to some foam core board to set up behind my photo diorama table.
I updated my Peavine Line layout web page with photos showing the Sept 2011 re-wiring of the little layout with a proper DCC bus: http://home.comcast.net/~j.sing/Peavine_Layout_Overview.html#DCC Happy Holidays, all.
The picture doesn't do it justice. This is one sweet locomotive and in the setting John has placed it, it's awesome to watch her working. Heard tell there is a mining company looking at property in a Canyon and may invest in the local economy. There's no father and son Brown Out's, to over tax them so this should work out. Bonus! No common wire on that part of the layout and it runs smooth with a very positive response from the hand held, tethered, power pack. Nice... John A.! Get a chance you need to see this in person. Also, noting the Rice Grower's COOP Silo's and the DCC wiring. All very impressive.
I have a few July 2012 photos of improved foliage, trees, detailing on the N scale Santa Fe Peavine Line: http://home.comcast.net/~j.sing/Peavine_Layout_Overview.html Here's a couple of those more recent shots:
And these two: http://home.comcast.net/~j.sing/Peavine_Layout_Overview.html#Updates_1Q2010 The layout has been packed away for the past 15 months while I've been executing my move to Sarasota, Florida. Hopefully in 1Q14, the room will be ready in my new permanent Florida home for the layout to come back out of storage and work to resume. I'm looking forward to it! Happy holidays to all.
Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and wishes for a better New Year - 2014. John S. the layout looks good. To bad you have to fold it up for now. Moving can be a pain.
