Umm no. I should draw something out. I'm doing a branch line industrial switching layout. It's kinda growing like it has a mind of it's own...but it will make sense.

I assembled a Bowser 2-bay covered hopper. Kansas Oklahoma & Gulf 18004. I know very little about the KO&G and have found very few pictures of rolling stock. Had this kit for a good while and finally assembled, may designate this car to Carbon Black transport.

This New York Central scale test car came in on a westbound loaded coal train out of Creston area up the branch.

Pat - The KO&G was one of the Muskogee (spelling?) Roads, the others being the Ada-Atoka-Oklahoma City and the Midland. I know that the Mopac HS has some information on these lines.

This is a loco I built over a year ago. I used parts from at least two locos in it's construction. Can you ID them from what you can see? And yes, the shell is that of a Bachmann FT-A unit.

    addendum...

Tim Horton was over yesterday morning shooting photos of the C&W with his professional equipment. So while he was here I thought I would take some photos of my own with my point-and-shoot in an older area away from where he was shooting. Shots of #89, the MT ore train from the smelter at Tadanac/Trail returning to Phoenix while it passes through the Shields area of the line.

This is great work ! I don't think the point and shoot camera really made a difference. It still captured a great scene. I really like the look of the track in this shot. You can't tell it's not real.

This scene really is impressive with the nice heavy tree cover and the train crossing the deep, deep fill. I hope the train crews weren't scared of heights.

I also really agree with the notion of ops being of crucial importance. I wish I could support operation right now, but your train order system of operation sounds like much fun.
