This is Mini Me riding on models of the cars some friends and I chartered to ride from Kansas City to Los Angeles this weekend. Going to be a cool trip through Raton Pass and all.

Flying to Kansas City tomorrow morning. Southwest Chief is due through KC in the evening when they will add the cars to the back end.

Nice choice, though I think those brutes look better in Brunswick Green. That one is definately appropriate for the calendar!

EM-1 in n-scale. Love this engine and the Bachmann 2-8-0. Might go to all steam on my layout.

Fair enough, and I can go for at least the PC looking good.

Curtis, neat scene. I can hear the bridge squealing under the load.

I kind of thought they look something like that?

Eugen, I think you did a great job. I might drybrush some color variation onto the trunks and highlight the tips of the green barbs. Just to add some dimension, but that is easy for me to say from my couch. They would be convincing as is.

Of course I would enjoy a how to thread.

They do seem to be fairly good models, looking kind of labor-intensive. I'd second the notion that a How To would be excellent if you plan on making more batches.
